Evidence-based clinical nutrition support for ongoing gut and bowel symptoms
If you’re experiencing persistent gut symptoms such as bloating, diarrhoea, urgency, abdominal discomfort, stomach pain or unpredictable bowels, you’re not alone — and you’re not imagining it.
Many people I see have already consulted their GP or gastroenterologist, undergone tests, and been told that results are normal or inconclusive, yet symptoms continue to interfere with daily life.
I provide clinical, evidence-based nutrition care for adults with unresolved gastrointestinal (tummy) symptoms, helping identify dietary and physiological contributors and translating medical advice into practical, sustainable nutrition strategies.
Who this service is for?
This service is particularly suited to people who:
Have ongoing gut symptoms despite medical investigations
Have been diagnosed with conditions such as IBS, functional gut disorders, reflux, diverticular disease, or food intolerances
Experience bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, urgency, wind or abdominal discomfort or stomach pain.
Have had bowel, gastric or other abdominal surgery and have not received specialised nutrition guidance
Want a thorough, clinically focused consultation rather than generic meal plans or online programs
If you’re looking for evidence-based guidance grounded in clinical reasoning — rather than dietary trends — this service is likely to be a good fit.
My approach to gut nutrition:
Gut symptoms are rarely caused by a single food or habit. They are often influenced by a combination of:
gut motility and function
carbohydrate malabsorption and fermentation
dietary fibre TYPE and timing
meal patterns
stress–gut interactions
medication or surgical history
My role is to assess these factors in context, based on your medical history, symptoms, investigations and lifestyle.
Where appropriate, this may include:
targeted dietary adjustments (e.g. FODMAP-related strategies)
structured reintroduction plans
symptom-pattern analysis
guidance following surgery or medical treatment
coordination with medical advice already provided
The aim is not restriction for its own sake, but clarity, symptom improvement and confidence around food.
Experience you can rely on…
I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian with extensive experience working in hospital and clinical settings across multiple areas of nutrition care.
This background means I am comfortable managing medically complex presentations, interpreting investigation results, and working alongside medical care rather than in isolation.
Patients often tell me they value:
a calm, structured approach
clear explanations without jargon
a focus on long-term management rather than quick fixes
What to expect from your first appointment:
Your initial consultation is comprehensive and clinically focused.
We will discuss:
your symptoms and how they affect daily life
relevant medical history, tests and diagnoses
previous dietary approaches you may have tried
current eating patterns and routines
From there, we will agree on practical next steps tailored to your situation.
Appointments are available in-clinic in Melbourne or via telehealth (usually Zoom).
